Message from ISKKC Executive Director

Aretired teacher of long 42 years from his memoirs is expressing his heartfelt honor and thanks to join the team lead by one of his devoted and brilliant ORCA (Old Rajshahi Cadet Association) student Dr. A.H.M. Kamal to help the distressed and needy people of Bangladesh in Renal Dialysis on humanitarian ground.

Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation is bearing the total cost for establishing five kidney dialysis centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Bogra & Kushtia to be run on a non-profit basis.

Special credit goes to Mr. Shahab Ahmed who proposed and initiated to set up a dialysis canter in Rajshahi and played an important role for collecting 39 dialysis machines donated from Independent Dialysis Foundation (IDF), Inc. Maryland, and USA.

I salute Late Dr. Imdad Khan for his social services through different projects in a good number of countries. His noble imagination regarding this health service to the people of Bangladesh was in his mind when he was seriously ill and admitted in ICU. Even in such condition he used to inquire about the progress of the Health Projects under Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation.

The following persons helped in various capacities to ensure implementation of ISKKC, so that the final goal came true; Shaikh Abdul Hamid, PhD, President, ORCA-USA; A.H.M. Kamal, PhD, Managing Director, -ISKKC, BD; Mr. Zahidus Salam Mia Dipok, General Secretary, ORCA-USA; Mr. Shahab Ahmed, ORCA-USA; Air Cdre M.Golam Towhid (Retd.); Mr. Sufi Hyder Zulfiqar Rahman, Dr. Mahmudur Rahman Pial, Mr. Aminur Rahman, Tax Commissioner, Mr. Asheque Hossain, Member, NBR, Mr. Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, Secretary, Ministry of Youth & Sports, Maj. General Aminul Karim ndc, psc, Military Secretary to the President of Bangladesh and Dr. Sharifuzzaman Ripon, ORCA member.

The EC members of ISKKC, BD had to go through hard days for about one and half years for getting requisite permissions from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce and finally from City Corporation, Dhaka on 15th October, 2006, although on trial basis ISKKC, Dhaka has started operating in September 2006.

I pray to Almighty Allah to bless the efforts of all concerned so that all kidney centers under the foundation achieve the goal to serve the People of Bangladesh.

Prof. Fazlul Quader
The Executive Director of ISKKC
