Biography: Mrs. Sitara Khan

Mrs. Sitara Khan comes from Bogra, Bangladesh. She is now a US citizen, and lives in Saratoga, California, USA.

After graduation from V.M. Girls' school, Bogra, in 1951, she went to Rajshahi Government College and completed I.Sc. and continued B.Sc. honours in Physics. In 1957, she joined her husband in London. While in England she had the opportunity to study Montessori education and got diploma from Montessori International Centre. She moved to the USA with her husband and obtained her BS and MS degrees in Organic Chemistry from Temple University, Philadelphia. At the beginning of her career, she worked as a Research Chemist in the Haematology Department of Massachusetts General Hospital and

Mclaren Hospital, Concord, MS. Her dream came true when she found a teaching position at Caedmon Montessori School in Manhattan, New York. She later served as the director and teacher at Lexington Montessori School, Massachusetts, Montebello Montessori School, Cupertino, and Country Lane Montessori School in Los Gatos, California. Capitalizing her teaching experience and expertise, she established Shady Oak Montessori School in Campbell and worked as its Director from 1975 to 1984. She left her teaching profession to join her husband in acquisition and management of their fast growing real estate.

Mrs. Sitara is a devoted Muslim and is keen on philanthropic activities. She always used to assist her husband to fulfill his philanthropic activities. She enjoys reading, learning and teaching the Holy Quran. She feels accomplished when she can help the needy and deprived people. Her pass time hobbies are gardening, walking, sight seeing among others.

Mrs. Sitara Khan is very much committed to fulfill the dream of her husband Dr. Khan.
